(Born October 15, 1988 in Georgetown, Guyana) is a Multi-Talented European record executive, Rapper, songwriter, and record producer.. Young Slick earned his name from his uncle at a young age when his uncle discovered the talents he had in his younger years for the ladies. While growing up in (Georgetown) Guyana Young Slick never got the chance to discover his passion and love for rap, because this category of music was totally unknown to him. Where he grew up, Reggae, Dancehall and Soca music were the only music he was exposed to. At the age of eleven (11), Young Slick left (Georgetown) Guyana and moved to Holland, where he was ultimately introduced to rap music. He started listening to rappers like Tupac, Ice cube, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg and fell in love with their music. Young Slick started making his own music at the age of 16 when he met producer Zero One, who give him the chance to record his own music. Working closely with producer Zero One, Young Slick was able to record his first mix tape entitled “Mix Tape king”. He then started doing his own shows even though he lacked experience and stage technique. Young Slick was determined to produced more advanced music, and went back to the studio with producer Zero One. Unfortunately Zero One had to return to Suriname from whence he came. Determined to succeed with the experience he gained from Producer Zero, Young Slick purchased the necessary music equipment and constructed his own home studio. In order to widen his experience, he began producing music for other artists. He finally mastered sounds and mixing techniques. To date, Young Slick possess the skill to record en mix his own music. His second mix tape “Pain Motivate Money Makes It Better” was a lot better than is first one . Young slick continued to perform for more shows and finally decided to produce his own Record label GT. ENTERTAINMENT was founded in 2008 when Young Slick started getting more and more interested in the music business. Determined to learn more about the music industry he decided to look and see what other artist did, and started reading and learning about the music business. Two years later he decided to start a whole new music label called GT Entertainment. . It was GT Entertainment that motivated Young Slick to consider making an album. Young Slick then arranged an interview with producer Syndrum Music a well know producer in the Netherland. He officially paid Syndrum Music To Record his Album and within a few months they started recording. “The Grass is Slicker On the Other Side” was Young Slick’s debut Album. Young Slick wanted to Do things differently- he wanted a record deal, so he recorded the album and only released one single entitled “Young Boy” . This Single was so successful that Young Slick gained lots offers to perform for musical stage shows Radio Stations loved his single. He and his co performers had very great positive audience reaction everywhere they performed. In order to achieve his goal and to gain further success, Young slick uploaded the song to Sonicangel. Sonicangel is a Record label that believes there is a unique opportunity to shape the music industry for emerging artists by involving fans in every step of the music process!. They were somewhat impressed with “Young boy” and therefore decided to sign a Record Label contract with Young Slick.
